The Council of The Township of Wilmot acknowledges that it is responsible to provide good government for its stakeholders in an accountable and transparent manner by:

Delegation of Powers Policy:
Section 270.1.6 of the Municipal Act S.O. 2001 states that: “A municipality shall adopt and maintain policies with respect to the delegation of its powers and duties.” Delegation of power policies are provided to increase efficiency and effectiveness for the provision of certain services to the public. Click here to view the Delegation of Powers and Duties policy passed by Township Council.
Code of Conduct:
Pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Act, Council has appointed an Integrity Commissioner who has the power to investigate violations of the Code of Conduct. Click here to view the Code of Conduct and the procedure for requesting an investigation.
Township of Wilmot Integrity Commissioner
In April of 2009, John Craig was appointed as the Township’s Integrity Commissioner. His role is to help maintain public confidence in the Township by objectively ensuring that the Code of Conduct is adhered to.
