Please join us tonight as we officially welcome the statue of the Right Honourable Sir Robert Borden. The bronze work of Borden was created by artist Nathan Scott of Victoria, British Columbia and will be unveiled on the northeast lawn of the Wilmot Township Administration Complex in Baden beside Castle Kilbride.
Borden will be joining the statues of Sir John A. Macdonald (“A Canadian Conversation” by Ruth Abernethy, Wilmot Township, ON), William Lyon Mackenzie King ("A Meeting of Minds" by Morgan MacDonald, Logy Bay, NFLD) and Lester Bowles Pearson ("Big Shoes" by Ruth Abernethy of Wilmot Township) on The Prime Ministers Path.
We are pleased to have Ernie Ritz, (WWII Veteran, former Mayor of New Hamburg and Wilmot Township, Charter Member of the New Hamburg Royal Canadian Legion) and the Waterloo Oxford District Secondary School Chamber Choir join us for this special unveiling.
We invite everyone to join us!
Program begins at 4:45 PM with hot cider, Town Crier and Bagpiper.
