A Message from Mayor Armstrong |
I continue to be honoured to serve this cohesive and vibrant community. I am excited to enter this new stage of the pandemic together as a community, thanks to the effort and dedication of residents, businesses and our staff. As a community we have made many sacrifices to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our family, neighbours and friends. These changes, though difficult, were critical to minimizing the spread of the virus and keeping our community safe. Spring brings new beginnings, and we are entering a new stage of the pandemic, with confidence that together we can overcome anything. I look forward to watching our community get outside, and come together in-person in parks and on trails to enjoy the many parts of Wilmot that make it the welcoming countryside community we all desire. Staff have started to return to our offices on a more frequent basis, continuing to follow public health guidance, and are here to serve our residents and businesses. We would ask that community members are patient and understanding, as many staff re-integrate into the physical workplace. While some staff will continue to work remotely, and some return to the office you can always expect friendly, courteous and professional service from members of our team, who care deeply about this community. My fellow members of Council are active with the community, serving you as they always have been. Wilmot Township Council believes in the residents of this community and, as always, we are here to serve you. We encourage everyone to stay in touch with one another, especially those who may have felt isolated throughout the pandemic. Stay tuned to our website and follow us on Twitter and Facebook to stay connect and get up-to-date information as it becomes available. Stay safe Wilmot. Les Armstrong Mayor, Township of Wilmot |
