Following the ice storm that hit the area on March 25 the Township of Wilmot and Region of Waterloo have responded to aid residents with clean up efforts. The ice storm caused trees and branches to fall or become damaged. Branches and brush can be taken to the Regional landfill and tipping fees will be waived by the Region for segregated loads until April 9. Residents can also use the following Township depots. By clicking on the locations named below, you will be taken to a page showing the location of the municipal facility where the depot is located.
The depots will be open until April 3 and are for Wilmot residents/property owners, not landscaping contractors. Please use the designated areas in the depots for tree limbs and branches only. The depots are not the appropriate location for big tree stumps or loads of grass clipings.
If trees or large branches have fallen on the roadway please contact the Township.
Residents still experieincing power related issues need to contact Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro.
