The Township of Wilmot has launched the development of a new Community Services Master Plan. It will provide a roadmap to enhance and grow the Township’s parks and recreation facilities and services for residents, user groups and visitors, now and into the future.
The Master Plan will guide decision-making across all aspects of parks and recreation, from playgrounds to facilities and everything in between. The project will also include a robust service delivery review to ensure efficiency and alignment with community needs and staff capacity.
The consulting firm of McQueen Galloway Associates (MGA) has been retained by the Township to complete all phases of this project.
Engagement Opportunities throughout the Process
Public engagement has been, and continues to be, an essential part of developing the Community Services Master Plan. Public input is helping to build a common understanding of the issues and is empowering residents to have their say in the future of the Township.
The Township has hosted a number of engagement opportunities in developing the Community Services Master Plan. Thank you to everyone who has provided input through one-on-one meetings, stakeholder group sessions, the Township’s public workshop, an online survey as well as by email, phone and in-person.
Nearly 70 residents attended the Public Workshop for the Community Services Master Plan on March 26
at the Wilmot Recreation Complex. To those who attended, thank you for sharing your ideas and
suggestions. Your input has helped to shape the plan now in draft.
