The Township provides infrastructure services through three divisions in Public Works & Engineering
These groups are responsible for a range of activities, including the operation, maintenance and capital planning of water distribution systems, wastewater conveyance systems, stormwater management systems, roads, sidewalks, bridges and culverts. The Engineering division also provides services for review, comment and inspection of private development projects and road corridor management.
Many of the services provided by Public Works and Engineering are considered essential and critical during the course of this pandemic. However, the format of service to the public may change, may be at a different timing than previous years, and may take longer to complete. This is a result of operating requirements and safe work practices to stop the spread of COVID-19. Please email engineering@wilmot.ca or publicworks@wilmot.ca for general inquiries.
In an effort to keep the Township clean and tidy, please refrain from dumping garbage on the roadside. And, to keep our wastewater system working properly, do not attempt to flush non-flushable products.
The following is a status list of capital projects and maintenance activities as of June 1/2020.

Sanitary and Stormwater System Alterations If you need to request an alteration to our sanitary or stormwater system, find the process and application below. The Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) has approved and granted the Township the authority to approve certain Environmental compliance Approvals (ECAs) to the Consolidated Linear Infrastructure (CLI) under certain conditions. Township’s CLI-ECA approval process covers most alterations that meet the preauthorized MECP requirements for the entire municipal sewage collection system and stormwater management system owned and operated by the Township of Wilmot. Development projects no longer need to submit individual pipe-by-pipe MECP application for future alternations; even though will need to make sure they:

You need to request a CLI ECA alteration for the following types of projects:
If you have any questions or are unsure if your project will need CLI ECA alteration, send us an email (engineering@wilmot.ca). You don’t need to apply for a CLI-ECA alteration for privately owned sewage works on industrial or commercial land. For these projects, you may still need an individual ECA from the MECP or a building permit.
