Nominations are open for Wilmot’s 2025 Citizen of the Year Awards

Do you know a shining star in Wilmot’s community? A senior, youth, athlete, or someone dedicated to culture or community service?

Nominate them today for Wilmot’s 2025 Citizen of the Year Awards!

The Citizen of the Year Awards recognize local volunteers for their exceptional contributions to the community. Awards are presented annually to community builders who have made outstanding contributions in the following categories:

• Athletics
• Community Service
• Culture
• Seniors
• Youth

Nominations are open until end of the day on Friday, June 20, 2025. Details and nomination forms are available at wilmot.ca/citizenoftheyear. Voting for nominees by the community begins on Monday, June 30, 2025.

Paper copies of the nomination and voting forms are available at the Township of Wilmot Administration Complex at 60 Snyder’s Rd. W. or at the Wilmot Recreation Complex at 1291 Nafziger Rd.

The winners of each category will receive their awards from Mayor Natasha Salonen at the New Hamburg Fall Fair on Friday, September 12, 2025.
