BADEN, ONT.—At its March 4 Council meeting, the Township of Wilmot approved applications allowing for the Schneider Family to donate a large portion of its property at Wilmot Line and Carmel-Koch Road to Rare Charitable Reserve.
The approval preserves the naturally significant lands while enhancing public safety. It also won’t impact the natural environment through the creation of parking lots or the widening of roadways.
The decision also addresses issues related to visitor safety including:
The family will retain ownership of three large estate residential lots.
