Township Construction Projects

Note: This program is currently running behind schedule. We will provide updated timelines when available.

This is an annual program to repair, replace or reconstruct existing road network segments with hot mix asphalt to maintain adequate high class bituminous (HCB) surface road assets.

Structure adjustments, water valve adjustments, concrete curb and sidewalk repairs will also be completed under this project.

Road networks include:

New Hamburg

• Arnold, Victoria and Neville Street between Waterloo Street and Hamilton Road
• Webster Street from Waterloo Street to Victoria Street

New Dundee

• Bridge Street from Queen Street to Urban Limit
• Dundee Avenue from Bridge Street to Poth Drive - Provisional

Brewery Street and Snyder's Road East Sanitary Repairs

Project Details

Brewery Street and Snyder’s Road East will be undergoing construction for sanitary repairs and new watermain section installation.

This project will also include surface works for concrete curbs, concrete sidewalks, separated cycling lanes, road base and asphalt riding surface.

Base asphalt to be completed 2024. Surface asphalt and sidewalk to be completed in 2025.

Vista Contracting has been obtained to repair, replace deficient concrete sidewalk identified during annual sidewalk inspections. Newly replaced sidewalk sections are being widened to 1.5m to meet accessibility requirements.
