The Township of Wilmot’s priority is the safety and well-being of our campers and staff, while creating an enjoyable experience.
Township of Wilmot summer day camps will be hosted at WRC & will have weekly themes. To help reduce the spread of COVID-19, camp programs will adhere to health guidelines that have been set by Waterloo Region Public Health, and the Province of Ontario. These guidelines include lower capacities, encouraging physical distancing, enhanced facility cleaning and a focus on hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette.
The Township of Wilmot offers a variety of quality day camps for children ages 6 (by the end of the calendar year) to 13 years at the Wilmot Recreation Complex. Camps are offered during the summer months. Whether your child is interested in arts & crafts, drama, science, Nature and the Environment; we have something for everyone!
For more information on the day camps offered by the Township, please check out the RecWeb or contact us.

Is your child ready for camp? |
To support your child's enjoyment and safety at camp, as well as the enjoyment and safety of the other campers, it is important to ensure your child is "camp ready." To help you determine this, we have put together a checklist for your use. The checklist provides some basic information on what we expect of your child as well as the rules for camp participants. Our goal is to keep every child safe and to ensure that they have an enjoyable camp experience. |
Rules for camp for participants |
Zero Tolerance Policy:There will be no hitting, kicking, shoving, spitting, stealing, or damage of another person or their property while at camp. If this occurs, parents will be contacted immediately and the child will not be welcomed back at camp after their first incident at the parents expense. No refunds will be issued. |

Volunteering at day camps |
Volunteers play an important role with ensuring the success of our day camps. Volunteers support camp counsellors with playing games, helping with crafts and instructing activities during camp. They are given the opportunity to create an activity plan and lead one activity during the week with the assistance of the Camp Counsellors. To volunteer with day camps, you must be at least 13 years of age. Volunteers will support camp counsellors with games, crafts and activities during camp, as well as create an activity plan and lead one activity during the week with help from the counsellors. If interested, please complete the volunteer application and return it to the Supervisor of Recreation Programmer.
