Join Smart Waterloo Region Innovation Labs as they host three nights of Games for Youth in Wilmot Township! You will play fast paced games and complete against your friends and others in attendance! Snacks and drinks provided at this FREE event!
Three dates and locations are being hosted from September 25 - 29, 2023
Located on the upper level of the Wilmot Recreation Complex, is the Optimist Youth Centre, a 1200 square foot facility dedicated for youth, grade 4 to grade 12. The Centre offers a place for youth to gather, socialize and play games in a safe and supervised setting. A Youth Programming Card is required for access to the space.
Programming at the drop in Centre will include skill building, workshops, movie nights, schoolwork help, and special programming throughout the year.
In addition to being a drop in Centre, the Optimist Youth Centre is also the home of the Youth Action Council (YAC) and Junior Youth Action Council. On a monthly basis, youth plan, organize and lead special events which help to fund the different initiatives they plan for the Centre.

A Youth Programming Card is required for youth grades 4 to 12 to utilize the space for all program offerings. Complete the Youth Programming Card Application and return it to the Supervisor of Recreation Programming via email. Paper applications can also be completed upon arrival at the Youth Centre for your first visit but must be completed by a parent to stay.
Youth Programming Cards expire annually on June 30 and are required for new paperwork each year to ensure we have the most up to date information and permissions for the participants.
Please note, cards must be presented for entry to any recreation Youth Program offered by the Township of Wilmot.
