Youth Advisory Council
Are you a young person who wants to have a say in what happens in your community?
The Wilmot Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is a group of local youth ages 14-19 who come together to share ideas, get involved, and help make Wilmot a better place for young people.
As a member of the YAC, you'll have the opportunity to:
-
Share your ideas, opinions, and experiences
-
Help shape programs, activities, and events for youth.
-
Connect with other young people in your community
-
Build leadership teamwork, and communication skills
-
Gain experience planning and supporting community initiatives
-
Help make sure the youth voice is heard in Wilmot.
Who can join?
YAC is open to youth attending Waterloo Oxford District Secondary School.
You do not need to have previous leadership experience or know exactly what you want to do. We want to hear from you!
Whether you have a big idea, want to meet new people, or simply want to have a say in what happens in your community, there's a place for you at YAC.
What are you interested in?
We're looking for new members and want to learn more about the things that matter most to local youth.
Take our short survey and tell us what you're interested in, what you'd like to see in your community, and why you'd want to get involved through YAC.
Your feedback will help us shape the future of the Youth Advisory Council!
When do we meet?
YAC meetings are held monthly at:
Waterloo-Oxford District Secondary School
Room 509
10:45am-11:45am
