Applications open for Prime Ministers Path Community Steering Committee
The Township of Wilmot is now accepting applications for participation in a Community Steering Committee that will guide the next phase of the Prime Ministers Path project.
The project is being relaunched following a unanimous Council vote in July, which came after an extensive community engagement campaign and recommendations from a local Working Group.
One of the key recommendations was to establish a Community Steering Committee - a volunteer group that will oversee the reinstallation of the statues and develop inclusive, historically grounded educational materials to accompany them.
The Township aims to bring together a diverse group of community members, subject matter experts, and professionals who will ensure the project’s core pillars - funding, inclusion, education, location/site design, and Truth and Reconciliation - are reflected throughout the process and in the delivery of the project.
Interested parties are encouraged to apply by completing the online application, available at www.wilmot.ca/pmp. Applications are being accepted until October 31, 2025.
