Flood watch issued for New Hamburg

The Grand River Conservation Authority has issued a flood watch for New Hamburg in response to weather conditions that have brought warm temperatures and precipitation to the Grand River watershed.

Residents are reminded to exercise extreme caution around local waterways and stay off ice-covered waterbodies due to unsafe conditions. Parents are reminded to keep their children and pets away from watercourses.

Related road closures 

The following roads have been closed due to flooding: 

• Holland Mills Road, New Hamburg, from Bleams Road to Huron Road
• Oxford Waterloo Road, Wilmot, from Puddicombe Road to River Road
