Township announces temporary changes to tax notice and water bill distribution due to postal strike

December 10, 2024 – The Township of Wilmot is temporarily changing the way it distributes property tax notices and water bills in response to the ongoing Canada Post strike. Several options are available for residents who typically receive their notices and bills through the mail.

Property Tax Notices

Property tax notices are now available for Wilmot residents who are registered for monthly pre-authorized payments. These notices provide an update on the amount of property taxes that will be withdrawn monthly in 2025.

Residents who would like a printed version of their notice can pick up a copy at the Wilmot Township Administrative Complex (60 Snyder’s Road West, Baden) during business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).

Residents can also contact the Township by phone (519-634-8444) or email (tax@wilmot.ca) to inquire about the updated monthly amount for 2025.

Water Bills

Water bills for October and November 2024 are also available for New Hamburg residents.

Residents who would like a printed version of their bill can pick up a copy at the Wilmot Township Administrative Complex (60 Snyder’s Road West, Baden) during business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).

Residents can contact water@wilmot.ca to have a copy of their bill sent by email or call 519-634-8444 to inquire about the amount owing on their water bill.

Payments for water bills can be made in person (cash, debit or cheque), through online banking or by leaving a cheque in one of our two drop boxes, located outside the Administrative Complex or inside the TD Canada Trust in New Hamburg (114 Huron St.).
