The Wilmot Recreation Complex has some exciting activities ready for kids to enjoy during March Break starting March 11.
Each day of the week features swimming and skating. Open swims are offered on Monday and Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., and Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 1 p.m. Family Swims are offered daily, Monday through Friday, at 10:30 a.m.
The Aquatics team is running a March Break Junior Lifeguard Club, open for youth ages 9 to 13. The program will focus on lifesaving, fitness, leadership and more. The activity takes place Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Registration in advance at wilmot.ca/RecWeb.
Public Skates will be offered on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 1:30 p.m., and at 1 p.m. on Wednesday. Youth can play shinny Monday through Friday at 2:30 p.m. Attendees will be split by age into two groups, 12 and under and 13+. Registration is required in advance through PickupHub.
The Optimist Youth Centre will be open for regular programming and hours on Monday and Wednesday from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. to those with a Youth Programming Pass. The Wilmot Family Resource Centre has extended its program hours in the space to add two Reaching our Rural Youth (RORY) events with trivia from 10 a.m. until noon on Thursday, and a games tournament from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday.
