Recommendations released for Prime Ministers Path project
Today, a set of recommendations for the future of Wilmot’s Prime Ministers Path project has been released.
The recommendations are the result of a seven-month public engagement process designed to reopen the conversation around the project in an inclusive and community-focused way.
Feedback was gathered through a variety of in-person and virtual formats, including community gatherings, tea circles, online surveys, emails and social media. Local Indigenous communities were consulted throughout the process to ensure their voices were central to the discussion.
Input gathered from these activities was reviewed by a 12-member working group. Representing a range of perspectives, the group collaborated to develop recommendations for Council’s consideration.
Council will discuss the recommendations at a Special Meeting on May 12, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the Wilmot Township Administration Complex (60 Snyder’s Rd. W, Baden). Residents can provide input on the recommendations by delegating at the meeting —visit www.wilmot.ca/delegations to register.
A final Community Gathering will be held on May 28, and Council will meet again on July 28 at 7:00 p.m. to review additional feedback and determine next steps. The recommendations can be found in the May 12 Council Agenda, available at www.wilmot.ca/councilmeetings.
Questions or comments about the recommendations can be sent to pmp@wilmot.ca.
