Township of Wilmot seeking applicants for Accessibility Advisory Committee

The Township of Wilmot is seeking applicants for the Accessibility Advisory Committee, a group that helps ensure our community is welcoming, inclusive and accessible for all.

The committee provides advice and feedback to the City of Kitchener and Waterloo Region’s Township Councils on accessibility issues that affect residents' daily lives, helping shape policies, programs, services and public spaces, while fulfilling the purpose of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.

We encourage applications from people with disabilities, caregivers, community agencies and community members with lived experience navigating accessibility barriers. Your perspective can help identify challenges, improve accessibility, and create more inclusive communities for all residents.

Serving on the committee is an opportunity to have your voice heard, contribute to meaningful change, and help shape decisions that impact our future.

Applications are open until August 28 at 5 pm. Learn more and apply at: Kitchener.ca/Advisory

Thank you for helping build a more accessible Wilmot.
