Commissioner of Oaths
Certain employees at the Township of Wilmot Administration Complex are Commissioners of Oaths. A Commissioner of Oaths is not a Notary Public and cannot notarize your documents.
Requirements
Keep the following in mind when preparing to have a Commissioner sign your document:
- The person making the oath, often called the declarant, must be present.
- The declarant must have valid government issued photo identification.
- No document will be signed without the declarant present.
- The document must not be signed by the declarant until they are in front of the Commissioner.
Fees
There is a $20 charge for Commissioner of Oaths services which covers up to three commissionings.
Appointments
Appointments are recommended to ensure a Commissioner is available to sign your document. Book in advance by calling 519-634-8444.
