Voter Information

You can vote if you are:

• A Canadian citizen
• At least 18 years old on election day (October 26, 2026)
• Living in Wilmot, or own or rent property here, or are the spouse of an owner or tenant in Wilmot

You cannot vote if you are:

• A person who is serving a sentence of imprisonment in a penal or correctional institution
• A person acting as executor or trustee in any other representative capacity, except as a voting proxy in accordance with section 44 of the Municipal Elections Act
• A person who was convicted of the corrupt practice described in subsection 90(3), if voting day in the current election is less than five years after voting day in the lection in respect of which he or she was convicted

Need to update your information? Visit us at 60 Snyder’s Rd W in Baden from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm to have your information added or corrected.

Remember to bring proof of your name and address.

The deadline to update your school support designation through the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) was June 1, 2026. You can still review your current school support information online. Check your school support designation online.

If your school support designation is incorrect after June 1, 2026, visit our office at 60 Snyder’s Rd W in Baden to have your information corrected. Remember to bring proof of your name and address.

Whether you own or rent your home, your property is linked to a school board - even if you don't have children or your children aren't currently attending school. You're not required to make a designation, but you do have the option to choose which school board you support. If you don't make a choice, your support will default to the English-Public school board.

If you are on the voters' list, you will receive a Voter Information Letter in September. Your card will include information about in person voting locations and instructions for accessing the online voting system.

If you didn't receive your Voter Information Letter in the mail, your information may be missing from the Voters' List or need to be updated.

Online voting is available from October 16 at 10 am to October 26 at 8 pm.

You can vote online from any location with internet connection during the voting period, including on Election Day, using the information provided in your Voter Information Letter.

You can also vote online using the Voting Kiosk at the Township Administrative Complex (60 Snyder’s Rd W, Baden) as follows:

• Friday, October 16, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
• Monday, October 19 to Friday October 23, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
• Monday, October 26, 8 am to 8 pm

If you choose to vote in-person on Election Day, Monday, October 26, you must vote at the designated voting location for your ward. In-person voting will be available from 8 am to 8 pm. Remember to bring your Voter Information Letter, as well as proof of your name and address.
