Council and committee meetings impacted by ongoing weather; snow lifts planned The Township of Wilmot is ending its Significant Weather and Snow Events, effective immediately. Crews worked through the weekend to ensure all Township roads were plowed, clearing an extremely high volume of snow in a short period of time.

Municipalities across Waterloo Region are working together to create consistent best practice standards for new residential, industrial, commercial, and institutional developments. 

The Township of Wilmot is making progress on its 2025 municipal budget. 

Mayor Salonen, Ward 1 Councillor Cressman, Ward 4 Councillors Lillianne Dunstall and Steven Martin, along with Acting CAO Greg Clark, proudly represented Wilmot Township at the 2025 Rural Ontario Municipal Association (ROMA) Annual Conference held from January 18 – 21 in Toronto.  The delegation attended Wilmot Township and joint township advocacy meetings and participated in important discussions about rural priorities with provincial ministers and officials.

The Township of Wilmot continues to work through the process of approving a municipal budget for 2025.

December 10, 2024 – The Township of Wilmot is temporarily changing the way it distributes property tax notices and water bills in response to the ongoing Canada Post strike.

The Township of Wilmot has released its draft 2025 budget, and it includes a significant one-time boost to capital infrastructure investments.
