Township of Wilmot declares snow event
The Township of Wilmot has declared a snow event beginning at 12:00 a.m. on January 23, 2026. All on street parking is prohibited during a snow event to allow plows to clear roads safely and efficiently. Vehicles parked on the street during the snow event may be ticketed and/or towed.

Flood warning issued for New Hamburg
The Grand River Conservation Authority has issued a flood warning for New Hamburg in response to weather conditions that have brought warm temperatures and precipitation to the Grand River watershed.
River flows in New Hamburg are expected to reach Flood Warning Zone 1 during the morning of Saturday, January 10, 2025.

The Township of Wilmot is ending its Significant Weather and Snow Events, effective immediately.
Declaring the end of the Significant Weather Event does not mean roads and sidewalks are in good usable condition. It only means that the weather has subsided enough that regular maintenance timelines can be met.

Enbridge Gas Ontario assists Wilmot Fire Department in supporting firefighter training
Enbridge Gas Ontario is helping the Wilmot Fire Department purchase firefighting training materials through Safe Community Project Assist, a program with the Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council that supplements existing training for Ontario volunteer and composite fire departments in the communities where Enbridge Gas operates.
