In response to recent rainfall, the Townships of North Dumfries, Wellesley, Wilmot and Woolwich are lifting the open burn ban that has been in place since August 7.

Effective October 1st, 2025, a $2.50 fee will apply to paper issued tax and utility bills.

Each year, the Township of Wilmot shines a spotlight on Wilmot residents who have made outstanding contributions to the community. The following three individuals received the most votes from the community for their contributions in the categories of Community Service, Culture and Seniors.

The Township of Wilmot is preparing a new Official Plan to guide development throughout its rural and urban communities until 2051. 

Brewery St. in Baden will be closed between Louisa St. and Village Green Way starting at 7:00 am on Tuesday, August 5 to accommodate a culvert replacement.

The closure is expected to last approximately two weeks, weather permitting.

Registration for Township of Wilmot aquatic and recreation programs is opening early this fall! Registration will now open in August because the Township is offering two Learn to Swim sessions instead of one.

Baden, ON — The Township of Wilmot is pleased to announce that the Ontario Ministry of Sport will provide up to $379,650 in funding through the Community Sport and Recreation Infrastructure Fund to support critical upgrades to the Wilmot Recreation Complex (WRC). 

Wilmot Township Council has approved a new policy that will exempt property taxes on newly built affordable housing units, marking a significant step in the Township's efforts to address housing affordability for residents. This policy offers a 20-year property tax exemption for affordable housing projects led by non-profit and cooperative housing providers.
