Starting the week of August 24, 2026, Huron Road will be closed from Holland Mills Road to Haysville Road for a culvert replacement. The work is expected to take approximately two months.

Members of Wilmot Township Council will participate in a Special Meeting on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. to consider a report regarding the 2026 debenture issuance and the associated Debenture Issuance By-Law, as well as a by-law to appoint a Treasurer. 

After careful consideration of nearly 800 eligible votes, two incredible individuals have emerged as the winners of the 2026 Citizen of the Year awards. Kristy Chambers was chosen in the Community Services category, while Shirley Mennel received the most votes in the Seniors category.

A section of Puddicombe Road south of Bridge Street will be closed for three weeks for the replacement of a nearby culvert. The work is expected to get underway on or around September 14, 2026. 

Some Township of Wilmot facilities and programs will be affected by the upcoming Civic Holiday (August 3, 2026). 

The concert planned for July 9, 2026, at Castle Kilbride has been cancelled due to inclement weather.
